Like a work of art or a piece of fine jewelry, a fine bottle of wine or spirits can be a treasure with special memories and unique stories.

Why Should I Insure My Wine and Spirts?

Whether you own a couple bottles of rare whiskey or a whole collection of fine wine, insurance for your collectibles can provide you with peace of mind, knowing that you’ll be able to replace them after a covered event. With Chubb insurance for your wine and spirits, you’re automatically covered for new purchases worldwide, you’re protected against a broad range of losses including breakage and spoilage due to mechanical breakdown, and you’ll have access to qualified experts who can share tips on how to protect your wine at home or offsite, and can refer you to the wine and spirits specialists you need.

Chubb Masterpiece® Valuable Articles Coverage Highlights

With our broad coverage and unparalleled service, you can trust Chubb to help protect the special wine and spirits you've acquired over the years.

Individualized Coverage

We offer flexible, worldwide coverage options to meet your unique needs and cover most wine and spirits losses with no deductible.

Automatic Coverage for New Items

If you already have itemized wine or spirits on your policy, your newly acquired items are covered for up to 90 days (25 percent of the itemized coverage).*

Paying Market Value

If the market value of an item before a loss exceeds the amount of coverage, we’ll pay up to 150 percent of the amount itemized for your wine or spirits on your policy to account for increases in market value.

Agreed Value Feature

We’ll work with you upfront to determine the value of your wine and spirits. Then, for covered total losses, we’ll make sure you get 100 percent of the agreed value as a cash settlement.

Blanket or Scheduled Items

Protect an entire collection of wine and spirits with blanket coverage, itemize your individual bottles, or do both. It’s up to you.

Coverage for Mechanical Breakdown

We’ll provide coverage for wine and spirits that have been damaged due to loss of utility service or mechanical breakdown of climate control equipment.
